The Mayor announced three new libraries for Marbella and San Pedro

The Mayor of Marbella, Ángeles Muñoz, announced the construction of three new libraries in the City, two in Marbella and the third in San Pedro Alcántara, within what was announced as an extension to the Trapiche de Guadaiza.

The first will be located in the calle Caballeros, specifically on the premises currently occupied by the Sports Department, which is to be moved to the former Social Welfare headquarters on Jacinto Benavente. This new library will have a budget of € 300,000, and covers 380 square meters. As per the formal announcement, reading and study rooms will be created which include state-of-the-art technologies.

Marbella’s second library project, with similar characteristics, will be located in a building that was recuperated by Town Hall in the calle Paco Ostos, where it aims to provide service to Trapiche Norte residents.

In addition, she spoke of the expansion of the newly opened Trapiche Guadaiza Cultural Centre in San Pedro, where a libraryis to be added.
